Wednesday night we had a wonderful time riding in the Boat Parade down around Balboa. Since Freddie was still a little snotty, Grandma B offered to stay home with him and from what I heard, he had a great time staying nice and warm inside!Grandpa, Greg, Karyl and I got to ride around and see all the lights and have fun talking with some of Greg's old friends. We had so much fun talking to everyone and just enjoying the night out in the fresh air and watching Karyl take it all in.
Our host was kind enough to indulge Karyl and let her drive the boat for a little while until we got in line with the rest of the parade and she LOVED it!!!

There were TONS of light-covered boats ranging in size from tiny taxi-type boats to the kind of yachts you have company parties on....
Karyl even had a friend her age there to talk to and goof off with...although they always seemed to be fighting over the same thing...a place to sit, a piece of the boat to play with...who knew there was competition at such a young age!!
I also had some fun earlier in the day playing with the different settings on my camera and decided to try some black and white photography...man, our kids look cute even in black and white!!!
